Market Closing Commentary: U.S. Stocks End Slightly Higher

U.S. stocks finished slightly higher today, despite news reports of the over-ten percent unemployment rate.

 

The Dow rose 0.17%, S&P 500 0.25% and the Nasdaq finished up 0.34%. For the week, both the Dow and the S&P 500 ended up 3.2 percent and the Nasdaq up 3.1%.
