With it now apparent that Elissa is the sister of Big Brother legend Rachel Reilly, the houseguests become certain she will voted MPV this week. Elissa still refuses to acknowledge the rumors, and jokes that she will likely be MVP because the fans of her “sister” Gisele Bundchen will vote for her. The Gisele reference goes straight over Jeremy’s head because he has no idea that she is a Victoria’s Secret model from Brazil and therefore cannot be Elissa’s sister.
The houseguest’s MVP predictions turn out to be correct – Elissa is given the power to choose this week’s third nominee. She acts shocked when her new power is revealed in the diary room and even tears up as she thanks fans for their votes. As soon as her diary room session is over, Elissa makes her way to the HOH room to inform McCrae. She wants him to help her pick the nominee. Elissa suggests Nick because she sees him as a big threat, but McCrae insists David is a better choice. McCrae then admits that he will be forced to nominate Elissa if the POV is used this week. Elissa is not happy that McCrae would refuse to save her when he has the power to, but McCrae insists that she is still an important ally to him.
McCrae has also formed a tight bond with Amanda. To solidify that bond he tells her that Elissa confirmed she is the MVP. Amanda leaves the HOH room and Elissa comes back. McCrae then admits to Elissa that he spilled her secret to Amanda. Amanda decides that she can’t leave McCrae alone with Elissa, so she brings herds some houseguests upstairs to break up the conversation.
The houseguests later gather in the living room for the third nomination reveal. David finds himself on the block alongside McCrae’s two nominees, Jessie and Candice. David, Jessie, Candice and McCrae will automatically play in the POV competition, so only two extra players are randomly drawn. Elissa and Howard’s names are drawn.
The first POV competition of the season is the classic spelling challenge. The players must make their way through a honey pit to get to a pool of blueberry muffin batter. They must pop the blueberries to get letters to spell the longest word they can in 15 minutes. David fails to spell anything, while Elissa spells “pot roasts” as one word and Candice spells “rafts.” Howard and Jessie both spell 7 letter words, but Howard locked in his word before Jessie. McCrae attempted to throw the competition with the word “delivery,” but he ends up winning.
Elissa knows she is in trouble and breaks down in front of Helen. Helen does her best to comfort and encourage Elissa. The two women seem like they could become strong allies. Elissa tries to sway McCrae away from using the POV, but she is unsuccessful. At the POV ceremony, McCrae removes Candice from the chopping block and nominates Elissa. The Moving Company plans to save Elissa and send David packing this week.
