Tyco International's (NYSE: TYC) business unit Allied Tube & Conduit Corporation, has opened a 514,000 square foot expansion on their Harvey, Illinois, manufacturing center. The expansion cost approximately $30 million. This doubles the size of the existing facility and should be complete by early 2010. This will be the company's first LEED-certified project. The facility's technology will streamline manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, creating efficiencies that enable it to better serve customers in the surrounding community and across North America.
