The Dallas Cowboys signed free agent offensive lineman Leonard Davis to a seven-year deal worth nearly $50 million on Monday.
Davis was given a team-record $16 million signing bonus and will be given $18.75 million in guaranteed money. He is set to earn a $2.75 million salary for 2007.
The 28-year-old Davis had played his previous six seasons with the Arizona Cardinals where he was considered a disappointment by many. At 6-foot-six, 372 pounds the Cowboys believe they have a solid body that will help open holes for their running game as well as protect Tony Romo when he drops back.
