It’s official – George Clooney’s 2-year romance with Stacy Keibler is over for good. An insider tells People magazine that it was Keibler who ended the relationship because of their opposing views on having children.
"Stacy called it quits. She wants to have children and a family someday. She knows where George stands on that. They talked and they quietly stopped being a couple several weeks ago,” the source says.
The insider describes the split as “friendly.” "They talk every day. They were friends before they started dating and they'll be friends after. It was a friendly [breakup],” adds the source.
Neither Clooney, 52, nor Keibler, 33, has commented on the split.
Two months ago, Clooney slammed rumors linking him to his ex-girlfriend Monika Jakisic. Witnesses reported seeing him holding hands and being affectionate with the Croatian model at a members only club in Mayfair, London. “The story is made up. I wasn't holding anybody's hand. Stop trying to sell magazines by creating scandal that isn't there,” the actor said in a statement at the time.
Clooney’s upcoming films include Gravity, The Monuments Men and Tomorrowland.
