American Idol Just Dull Guys Bore Their Way into Top 12

The group of eight guys that competed on Tuesday night all have the same thing in their favor, odds. While none of them sparkle or offer a true voice that screams Grammys, there are six slots open for eight guys that might not make it past the audition stage if it were held today.

Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson seemed to be kind when they said that there were four guys deserving of the Top 12, in reality there may be two, but if this is what America has got left after five solid seasons the show may need to start thinking about importing.

Each guy carries a boring personality to go with their mundane voice. They seem to be involved in a karaoke competition rather than fighting for the title of American Idol. But as the flawed system goes six of these guys will make it to the final twelve and actually have their voice recorded for the American Idol Season 6 cd. Even worse, there’s the potential that the same six that make the Top 12 could potentially make the Top 10 and be a part of the American Idol Tour and they would be singing, not making sandwiches (something a few of these guys seem to have mastered).

So by Thursday evening two of the guys will pack their bags, more than likely cry in front of the audience and viewers, and head back to a life of being the best singer in the neighborhood but not quite the district.

This is the time were there needs to be some improv instilled by Simon, Paula, Randy and the producers of American Idol. This is where they need to allow the public to cast their vote and then they get to boot two as well. Kind of like a Donald Trump double firing it would shake things up a bit. It is obvious that were not looking at future Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees here.

That being said the clock struck midnight on a majority of these guys a long time ago, they just kept jumping time zones to the west and managed an extra hour. Come Thursday, if all goes well, Sanjaya, Sundance Head, Brandon, Phil and Jared will be among the castaways, if things go spectacular they will all go.
