American Idol Pulls Clips from “The View” after Rosie O’Donnell Comments
Producers of American Idol, the most successful show on television, have refused to allow clips of the program to be aired on “The View” in retaliation for Rosie O’Donnell’s constant criticism over the way the reality show is run.
Rosie, never one to think before speaking, openly condemned American Idol for the manner in which they’ve handled the Antonella Barba photo scandal. O’Donnell has called American Idol racist and sizeist for not booting Barba in the same fashion they did to Frenchie Davis in 2003. Davis, a larger woman than Barba, was kicked off the show after photos of her posing in lingerie on an adult website surfaced on the internet.
American Idol had heard enough from O’Donnell and elected to block their clips from “The View,” a move that seemed to put Rosie in her place and earn her a scornful look from Barbara Walters and the rest of the cast.
