Kobe Bryant Suspended by NBA for Hit on Timberwolves’ Marko Jaric

Kobe Bryant has been suspended by the NBA for the second time in less than two months for flailing his arm and catching Marko Jaric in the face during the Los Angeles Lakers game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night.

Bryant was going up for a shot with 58.7 seconds remaining in regulation when Jaric blocked his shot. On his follow through Bryant threw out his right arm and caught Jaric across the face, sending the Minnesota player to the floor.

The NBA reviewed the play and determined that Bryant would be suspended for the Lakers game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night.

Bryant had been suspended for a similar hit against Manu Ginobili of the San Antonio Spurs back on Jan. 28.
