Every aspect of our life, from our job to our relationships, is informed by our programs, our “supposed to’s.” We’re supposed to go to school, get a job, get married, start a family, buy a house and save for retirement. It sounds like a wonderful idea, but what if it doesn’t feel right? There’s nothing wrong with you. It’s the program.
According to holistic counselor Janice Corsano, it’s time to get without the program. It’s your life, your spirit, your choice.
“Some of the people with the worst problems, I’ve found, are the people who did all their ‘supposed to’s,'” says Corsano. “They did everything right, but they’re still not happy. It’s because the program has nothing to do with happiness. It says no matter what you do you’re not good enough. It’s actually a blueprint for being unhappy.”
Corsano is the founder of MIYLANA, a holistic counseling practice that provides individuals with alternative solutions to reach their full potential. In addition to her natural gifts as a clairvoyant and empathy, Janice is a board-certified holistic alternative psychology practitioner and certified hypnotherapist. Through MIYLANA, Corsano offers one-on-one counseling sessions, workshops, seminars and programs to give individuals the power and choice to create a happier, healthier and successful life.
Though clients typically visit Corsano with every day dilemmas, she helps them understand why these dilemmas are happening every day and how they are part of a greater lesson to be learned. It’s the program that’s broken, not you.
“If we don’t understand what we believe, we can’t understand our lives, our reality,” says Corsano. “Our long-held beliefs keep us stuck repeating negative patterns. We help you look at your programs to understand why you have them and teach you how to change them.”
In 2009, Corsano published This is Only a Dream! When You Die You Wake Up, a practical roadmap for positive life transformation. In the book, she shares valuable tips on how to effectively question your old belief systems to achieve self-awareness and connect with your higher self.
“This was my salvation,” says Corsano. “Everything I teach you, I did. You understand that you’re not the victim of your life. It’s just part of your learning and growing to be able to forgive and understand there is way more happening than what we perceive our life to be.
