ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO. (July 17, 2013). Peoples Flower Shops, an Albuquerque, New Mexico based, family-owned and operated florist, announced that it is participating in ‘Helping Hands,’ an online fundraising program that makes it easy for consumers to give back to their community. This unique fundraising program provides donations to Albuquerque- and New Mexico-based schools, churches, and non-profit organizations, including those located in Bernalillo and Sandoval Counties.
Wayne Pollack of Peoples Flower Shops said, “We liked the ideas behind Helping Hands because the charitable program meant that we could help give back to our community all year long rather than just participating in one or two fundraisers each year. It makes our customers feel good that they are also helping others in need, and the program makes it so easy to do.”
With each order a customer makes online through the Albuquerque florist’s website, they can choose to have Peoples Flowers Shops make a donation to one of the participating organizations. These organizations include:

Customers simply select the "Helping Hands" pull down menu on the order form and choose an organization to receive the contribution. Peoples Flowers Shops regularly adds new organizations to the list of those receiving donations from “Helping Hands.” For organizations interested in enrolling, online enrollment is available.
