Blackfish, starring Kim Ashdown, Ken Balcomb, Samantha Berg and Davis Duffus, opens in theaters Friday, July 19. The documentary explores the consequences of keeping killer whales in captivity. The story of Tilikum, a captive orca who is responsible for killing 3 people, is featured.
The film has a runtime of 1 hour 23 minutes and is rated PG 13 for disturbing violence images and mature thematic elements.
