Soccer Star Robert Enke Dies at 32

Robert Enke, who was set to play goalkeeper for Germany at the World Cup, died Tuesday night after being hit by a train. Police believe Enke committed suicide. He was 32.

Enke played for Hannover. Team president Martin Kind confirmed his death. “You expect many things, but not something like that. I do not know how and why it happened, but I do not think that it had anything to do with football,” he said.

No other details were available. Enke leaves behind a wife and 8-month-old daughter.
