Atlanta Falcons to Sign Joe Horn, Provide Michael Vick With Proven Receiver
While no contract has been signed, sources close to former New Orleans Saints wide receiver Joe Horn have said the 35-year-old has agreed to join the Atlanta Falcons.
Flacons spokesman Reggie Roberts was overly cautious when speaking about the possibility of Atlanta landing Michael Vick a legitimate receiver saying, “We haven't signed a contract, so he's not an Atlanta Falcon. We haven't reached an agreement, so he's not an Atlanta Falcon.”
It is believed that Horn passed a Falcons physical on Tuesday which indicates the two sides were working towards a deal.
Horn would almost certainly step in to the number one receiver slot and would be able to share a lot of knowledge with some of the younger Falcons receivers who have yet to meet their potential.
Horn has played 11 NFL seasons and has 8,501 receiving yards and 57 touchdowns.
