World Trader Coffee is Dedicated to Helping the Environment with RainForest Alliance Coffees

World Trader Coffee and the RainForest Alliance have made a big push to protect the environment and the rights of workers. There are special rules, apart from the Sustainable Agriculture Standard, that apply specifically to coffee producers. Only coffee that meets these guidelines are awarded the RainForest Alliance’s seal. These coffees are produced with effort to maintain to preserve the surrounding environment.

World Trader Coffee has some of the finest coffees to carry the RainForest Alliance’s seal. These include the Tarrazu Dota coffee from Costa Rica, Bali Blue Moon and Sumatra Gayo Mountain Coffee.

For a premium coffee, the Sumatra Gayo Mountain Coffee comes from the Indonesian island of Sumatra. Sumatra Gayo Mountain coffee is described as a sweet and clean coffee. If you prefer, this coffee is also sold as a wet processed coffee. As with many of the Rainforest Alliance coffees, the Sumatra Gayo Mountain Coffee is grown completely organically.

After the eruption of the Gunung Agung Volcano, the production of coffee in Bali rose from the ashes and today is one of the best coffee producing regions in the world. Next to Jamaican Blue Mountain, Bali Blue Moon is one of the most sought after arabica coffees in the world. The love of Bali Blue Moon has developed over the years most likely due to the management of the Subak Abian which oversee the agricultural technology and religious activities. Another reason Bali Blue Moon is so popular is definitely its smooth body and chocolate overtones.
