With four months to go until the release of The Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire, fans were treated to a sneak peak of the film at Comic-Con in San Diego over the weekend. The new 2 minute trailer features Katniess Everdeen and Peeta Mellark training for the Quarter Quell.
Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson return as Katniss and Peta, while Woody Harrelson reprises his role as Haymitch and Elizabeth Banks reprises her role as Effie Trinket. Liam Hemsworth also returns to play Gale Hawthorne, Katniss’ best friend. New faces include Sam Claflin as Finnick Odair, Jena Malone as Johanna Mason, Jeffrey Wright as Beetee, Amanda Plummer as Wiress, Alan Ritchson as Gloss and Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensbee.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will hit theaters on Nov. 22. The movie series, which is based on a trilogy of books by Suzanne Collins, will be completed with two additional films – Mockingjay Part 1 and Mockingjay Part 2- due out over the next two years.
