Oxygen Education, LLC, a market leading developer of digital content for technical education and workforce development, today announced that Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) has selected Oxygen Education content to provide a three month job skills training program for 85 Ocean Spray employees in the Ocean Spray Sulphur Springs, Texas facility. The NTCC-sponsored training will implement Oxygen Education training content to help Ocean Spray employees learn new skills and upgrade current skills. Training will be provided in three areas: Lean Manufacturing, Personal Development, and Quality Systems.
Northeast Texas Community College is sponsoring the training in partnership with the area’s Regional Advanced Manufacturing Academy (RAMA) Consortium. Composed of fourteen corporate members, the consortium partnered with NTCC to provide training for workforce development under a grant from the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Skills Development Fund.
Judy Jackson, NTCC director of Continuing Education and Corporate Training, and Dan Schmeling, Ed.D, RAMA Project Director at NTCC, work closely with RAMA, developing customized training programs to meet local workforce development needs. “Successful public education and private industry partnerships benefit everyone involved,” said Schmeling. “When employees continue to grow and learn, industry stays on the leading edge of innovation. Northeast Texas Community College sincerely values our area employers. We work hard to create workforce training programs that meet their needs and are pleased to provide Oxygen Education courses as an integral part of this workforce development program.”
