The Milken Institute has ranked Phoenix the fourth worst metro job market in the country after analyzing cities abilities to attract, grow and retain higher wage occupations.
Phoenix has been hit hard by a persistent housing slump as well as a drop in tourism, business investments and consumer spending. Milken’s rankings reflect a 15-position drop for Phoenix which held the 181st spot for job growth between calendar years 2007 and 2008.
