AECOM Technology Corporation (NYSE:ACM) jumped 55 to $26.77 after it posted a 27 percent rise in quarterly profit, driven by its management support services segment and lower expenses, but forecast 2010 earnings below estimates.
For the fourth quarter, income from continuing operations was $54.0 million, or 48 cents a share, compared with $42.7 million, or 40 cents a share, a year ago.
Revenue was almost flat at $1.62 billion, even as the management support segment grew by 18 percent.
Analysts were expecting earnings of 46 cents a share, before special items, on revenue of $1.67 billion, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
