U.S. stocks saw losses spiral in the closing minutes of trade on Thursday, as a strengthening dollar caused energy shares to slip by 2.2%. Market confidence among investors, the result of continued low-interest rates and gains beginning in March, seems shaken.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 93.79 points, or -.91%, to 10,197 while the S&P 500 dropped by 12 points, or 1.03%, to 1,087.24 The Nasdaq Composite lost 17.88 points, or - .83%, to 2,149.02.
