Both executives will retain their membership of Disney’s senior management group. Disney directors supported the decision, which didn’t require board approval.
Disney Chief Executive Officer Robert Iger said he hoped the change will give the Staggs and Rasulo fresh challenges and an opportunity to expand their knowledge to better help the company. In their current positions, Rasulo expanded the parks, resorts and cruise lines while stags maintained the highest debt rating among the largest U.S. media companies.
