The restaurant industry lost scores of costumers during the economic downturn, but McDonald’s has somehow grown and gained market share. The company’s success has been attributed to their Dollar Menu
Rising unemployment has hurt the chain, with same-store sales at its U.S. restaurants flat in October, compared to 5.3% growth during the same month last year.
The chain is working on new technology that will speed up customer service as well as focusing on menu improvements.
