Fort Hood Shooter Nidal Malik Hasan Paralyzed, Says Attorney

Fort Hood shooting suspect Nidal Malik Hasan is paralyzed, according to his attorney John Galligan. Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, is hospitalized for gunshot wounds sustained in the shooting.

“It appears he won’t be able to walk in the future,” Galligan says.

Hasan, 39, is charged with 13 preliminary counts of premeditated murder and could face additional charges at court-martial. He killed 1 civilian, 12 soldiers and wounded 30 others when he opened fire at Fort Hood’s processing center on November 5.
