Arkansas tried to stay close with Florida in the first half, and trailed by four with just under three minutes remaining but the Gators extended their lead to eight and went into the locker room with a 36-28 lead.
The Gators used a 13-4 run midway through the second half and followed that with a 12-3 spurt that buried any hopes of an Arkansas upset.
Florida’s impressive run through the SEC championship could earn them a number one seed when the selection committee reveals the NCAA Tournament bracket today on Sunday. For Arkansas, they will have to hope for an at-large bid in a very crowded field of bubble teams.
