Talk of the Palm-Nokia combination has come and gone in the past few months. In theory, Palm could boost Nokia’s mobile presence and challenge Apple Inc’s iPhone and Research in Motion’s Blackberry. However, analysts call the deal unlikely, saying that any buyer would need to pay in excess of $2 billion in addition to investing even more in marketing and distribution.
