Trista Joy Lathern Faked Breast Cancer to Raise Money for Implants

Texas authorities say 24-year-old Trista Joy Lathern lied about having breast cancer in order to raise money for breast implants. Lathern shaved her head to look like she was undergoing chemotherapy.

A benefit to raise money to help Lathern fight cancer was held. She spent the $10,000 raised to have breast augmentation surgery.

McLennan County Sheriff’s investigator James Pack says Lathern wanted breast implants to try to save her 7-month marriage. She is charged with theft by deception.
