Try Penny Stocks Pinpoints the Difference Between Market Order and Limit Order Trading

Companies on the Move by EQUITIES Magazine, Try Penny Stocks

In their web tutorial, investor resource Try Penny Stocks explains the two standard types of trades: market orders and limit orders.

A market order is a request to buy or sell a stock share at the current market price. With market orders, the predominant type of order used to purchase stock, the investor does not control the purchase or sale price of the stock.

Limit orders are different from market orders in that the investor does control the price at which the stock is bought or sold. The trade happens when that respective stock reaches the specific price set by the investor to buy or sell the stock. If the order never meets that specific price, or shares are otherwise never made available at such price, the order will never execute.

Explanations like this from the Try Penny Stocks web tutorial are designed to help investors understand the workings of the stock market. Other tutorials offered on TryPennyStocks.com cover topics such as how to locate the right broker and “What is volume?”
