The New Orleans Hornets are already going through a terrible start to the young NBA season and things could get much worse after All Star guard Chris Paul injured his left ankle in Friday night’s 86-78 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Paul was carried off the court in the third quarter after he apparently sprained his left ankle and he has already said he would miss Saturday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks and depending on how serious the injury he could miss several more.
New Orleans is just 3-7 on the season, a start that cost head coach Byron Scott his job. Things won’t get any easier for the Hornets as they face the Hawks on Saturday, a team that hasn’t lost at home and is coming off a huge road win over the Boston Celtics on Friday night.
