Big Brother 15 Week 6 Recap: GinaMarie Wins HOH, Makes New Nominations

The battle for HOH consisted of simply walking/balancing on a rotating barrel while holding onto a bull’s head. Apparently the challenge was a lot harder than it appeared because Elissa nearly drops out within the first few minutes of the competition.

Spencer is out first. He is followed closely by Candice and Helen. The first three houseguests to be knocked out of the competition get to open a box containing a prize. Spencer’s prize is a bullhorn that he must talk through until nominations. Candice gets $5,000 and Helen wins a BBQ party for herself and three other houseguests of her choice.

Elissa drops after Helen. She is followed by Amanda, Judd and Andy. That leaves McCrae, Jessie and GinaMarie battling for HOH. After Jessie falls, GinaMarie begins offering McCrae deals to drop. She promises him and Amanda safety, nights in the HOH room and even a nomination choice, but McCrae refuses to accept. He eventually falls without accepting a deal. GinaMarie is the new Head of Household.

GinaMarie’s win leads to plenty of celebration on Aaryn’s part. Aaryn feels like her HOH reign is extended because she can easily influence GinaMarie’s nominations without getting blood on her hands. Meanwhile, Spencer and Amanda patch up their relationship. Amanda appreciates Spencer not voting against her and insists they are on good terms again, but that is about as far as their peace treaty goes.

Helen realizes she needs to keep building her relationship with Aaryn, so she chooses Aaryn to go to the BBQ party along with Elissa. The third spot is up for grabs. Jessie is immediately upset when she hears of Aaryn’s invite. She complains to Amanda about Helen rewarding Aaryn’s new loyalty but not her longtime loyalty. Amanda encourages Jessie to get over it and not take it personally, but Jessie refuses to let it go. Amanda eventually snaps at Jessie about her disloyalty in contemplating trying to flip the house to evict her instead of Howard. Andy, who Jessie approached with the plan, informed Amanda of the plan a few hours before the eviction. Jessie says the plan was brought to her by other people (which it was) and she wasn’t wrong to consider it since that is the game of Big Brother. She also points out that Amanda and McCrae have been controlling votes for the last three weeks. Amanda denies that and attacks Jessie about having no one in the game. McCrae tries to smooth things over and get Amanda to lay low, but it only creates tension between them.

Jessie soon realizes the fight may have put a target on her back, so she goes to GinaMarie. She suggests that GinaMarie not nominate her if the real target is Candice because Amanda will do everything she can to save Candice if it means her going home. Jessie is right, but GinaMarie doesn’t see it that way. At the nomination ceremony, GinaMarie puts Jessie and Candice on the chopping block.
