NBA News: Allen Iverson and Memphis Grizzlies Part Ways, Guard to become Free Agent

Allen Iverson didn’t last long in his stay with the Memphis Grizzlies as the future Hall-of-Famer came to an agreement with the team that will place him on waivers and by Wednesday he’ll become a free agent.

As part of the deal Iverson will only receive a small percentage of the $3 million contract he signed prior to the season. If Iverson clears waivers he will become a free agent by Wednesday evening.

Iverson was unhappy with his status as a reserve on Grizzlies and has been on a personal leave of absence for ten days. The 13-year veteran has played in just three games this year, averaging 12.3 points and 3.7 assists, Memphis lost all three games.
