Cincinnati lawyer, David H. Lefton, has been appointed to the Ohio State Bar Foundation (OSBF) Membership Committee. OSBF members are exceptional lawyers who have demonstrated their dedication to the highest ideals of the legal profession and the welfare of their community. This year, David is privileged to have been appointed to this select group in recognition of his years of service to the legal profession.
In addition, David Lefton has been appointed to the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA). While the Council of Delegates has many responsibilities, it is at the Council of Delegate meetings where consideration of legislative proposals from OSBA committees and sections are debated and adopted. Only after adoption of a proposal by the Council of Delegates does it become part of the OSBA legislative program and, thus, an OSBA-endorsed and sponsored bill.
Lefton is an equity partner in the law firm of Barron, Peck, Bennie & Schlemmer, LPA in Cincinnati, Ohio. He practices primarily in the area of estate planning, probate, and trust administration and for more than 20 years has advised individuals, families, businesses and non-profit organizations. Lefton has earned the highest ethical standards and professional ability rating given to lawyers by the respected Martindale-Hubble Directory and was named a 2013 Super Lawyer in the area of estate planning. A leader in activities of the American Bar Association, David has been nominated Secretary for the General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Division (GPSolo Division).
