American Idol may want to find a way to bring Antonella Barba back. At least that would provide a reasonable distraction from the latest news surrounding the hit reality show on Fox. As it turns out, former employee Magdaleno Olmos has sued American Idol Productions, Fox and one-time contestant Mario Vazquez for wrongful termination.
Olmos claims that he was fired because he complained about sexual advances made by season-four contestant Vazquez. In his lawsuit Olmos states that Vazquez made unwanted advances and exposed his genitals.
Vazquez unexpectedly dropped out off the competition citing “family reasons” but Olmos claims it was because he had brought the harassment claims to the attention of executives and attorneys for the show.
The lawsuit claims that the show ignored the complaints of Olmos and his allegations resulted in his dismissal.
