Lazard Ltd. Names Kenneth Jacobs to Replace Bruce Wasserstein

Today, investment bank Lazard Ltd. named Kenneth Jacobs  as chairman and chief executive officer to replace Bruce Wasserstein, who died last month. Jacobs, who was the head of Lazard’s North American businesses, will lead the company as the global economy and market for mergers and acquisitions begin to rebound.

Jacobs take over from interim CEO Steven Golub who will continue as chairman of financial advisory group, the Hamilton, and vice chairman of Lazard.
