Semitool, Inc. (NASDAQ:SMTL) hits a new 52-week high at $10.96 in today’s morning trade. Currently the stock is trading at $10.94, up 30.24%.The company announced a definitive agreement for Applied to acquire the outstanding shares of Semitool for $11 per share in an all-cash tender offer. Under terms of an agreement approved by the boards of directors of both companies, Applied Materials will pay an aggregate purchase price of approximately $364 million based on the fully diluted capitalization of Semitool. The acquisition will be conducted pursuant to a tender offer for all of the outstanding shares of Semitool and is conditioned on the tender of at least 66 2/3% of Semitool`s outstanding stock on a fully-diluted basis and other customary closing conditions including regulatory approval.

CMS Energy Corporation (NYSE:CMS) soared 1.92% to $14.84. Today CMS has made a new 52-week at $15.14. Today BMO Capital Markets upgraded CMS Energy to Outperform from Market Perform at a price target of $17. CMS Energy Corporation (CMS Energy) is an energy company operating throught its subsidiaries in United States, primarily in Michigan.

Covidien PLC (NYSE:COV) was another stock which made a new 52 week high of $46.75 and now trades at $45.55 at  3.30%. The company raised its fiscal 2010 outlook and expects sales to be up 6%-9%, including foreign exchange at current rates and excluding Oxy ER sales from the 2009 base. The Company reported revenues of $10.7 billion in fiscal 2009.
