Last night’s Big Brother episode begins with a rewind to Thursday’s double eviction. Candice, Spencer and Amanda are on the chopping block. Candice knows she is the target, so she spends her last few minutes in the game slamming HOH GinaMarie for her “rat” comments. GinaMarie takes her personal attacks to a new low when she snaps about Candice’s mother not wanting her (Candice is adopted). GinaMarie’s cruel remarks make Aaryn realize that it might be time to cut ties with the New Yorker. Aaryn doesn’t want GinaMarie’s actions and words to reflect on her simply because of their friendship.
Fast forward to Aaryn’s HOH and POV win and we see that Helen was the driving force behind Judd’s blindside and eviction. She made the suggestion and everyone got on board for various reasons. Elissa, GinaMarie and Jessie followed what the house wanted while the tight trio of McCrae, Amanda and Andy sent their votes Judd’s way because Amanda was convinced he was MVP for the past two weeks.
After the eviction, Aaryn is very upset about what she just did. Helen gives her a pep talk about how the entire house appreciates her and will protect her. Amanda vows to take Aaryn to the final 4 with herself, McCrae and Andy. Although Aaryn isn’t sure she wants to team with Amanda, she realizes she is now in a great position in the house.
The HOH competition is a bracket-style challenge in which the houseguests must roll a ball down a ramp while making adjustments on the angle of the ramp in order to land their ball in a small hole before their opponent. Jessie, Andy, Amanda and McCrae win the first round of matches. Andy wins against Jessie and McCrae wins against Amanda. Amanda was convinced McCrae would throw the round to her, so she is furious that he won. Andy and McCrae face off in the final round. Andy wins his first challenge and becomes the new Head of Household.
Amanda won’t let McCrae’s win against her go and whines about him not throwing the competition to her. She insists he should have done it because she is the only person left who hasn’t won anything. She confronts McCrae. He convinces her that it’s a good thing Andy won HOH because they will control nominations again without getting any blood on their hands.
Andy isn’t looking forward to making nominations because he has alliances on both sides of the house and is not ready to break any of them. Helen approaches him about nominations McCrae and Amanda, but Andy decides to play it safe and put Jessie and Spencer on the chopping block.
