The Milwaukee Bucks, suffering through a 23-41 season, have fired head coach Terry Stotts.
Stotts, who was hired last year as Terry Porter’s replacement, led the Bucks to the playoffs but struggled to put an effective line-up together this season after several key players went down with injuries.
With leading scorer Michael Redd out for 20 games with a knee injury, the Bucks went 3-17 and buried themselves in the Central Division. Their second leading scorer, Mo Williams missed ten games with a sprained shoulder while Redd was out and Charlie Villanueva missed 11 games with shoulder tendonitis.
While Milwaukee ranks second in the Eastern Conference in points per game at 100 they are also allowing the second highest points per game to their opponent at 103.3.
The Bucks have not announced an interim coach for Thursday night’s match-up against the San Antonio Spurs.
