Doctors call drug residues "metabolites". These are the products left behind in the body when it has broken down a substance so it can be eliminated. Drug metabolites are like the fingerprints of the drug that was taken. They have a natural attraction to fats and so tend to store in one's fat tissue. The body's normal functions get disrupted by these stored toxins and in a drug addict this is one of the factors causing drug cravings.
Studies show that the Narconon New Life Detoxification Program releases these toxins from the stored fat and safely removes the toxins from the body. The result being an increase in mental clarity, improved physical health and an elimination of the physical side of drug cravings.
In a study called, Reduction of Drug Residues: Applications in Drug Rehabilitation," that was presented to the 123rd Annual Meeting of the American Public Health Association. Authors: Megan Shields, M.D.; F. Tennant, M.D., Dr. P.H.; Shelley Beckmann, Ph.D.; and R. Michael Wisner the concentration of drug metabolites in both sweat and urine was measured in clients undergoing the New Life Detoxification Program used by Narconon.
Eight clients with a current drug addiction problem were selected as part of this study as well as 249 previous drug users who rated their symptom severity before and after the program of 87 symptoms.
Drug metabolites were found in both sweat and urine for seven of the eight clients participating in this study. Five of the eight clients showed an increase in the concentration of drug metabolite in sweat or urine when the detoxification program was initiated.
Drug metabolites were not detected in the urine of two clients before the start of detoxification treatment but were detected after the program began. This supports the argument that drug metabolites were mobilized from stores.
Drug metabolites were also detectable in both sweat and urine for up to five weeks following the start of detoxification treatment.
From the 249 previous drug users after the Narconon New Life Detoxification Program the self-reported symptom severity improved markedly. The reduction in symptom severity was statistically significant for 80 of the 87 symptoms, and highly significant for 74 of them, including each of the chief complaints of this population.
The study shows the Narconon New Life Detoxification Program mobilizes and eliminates foreign compounds, especially those stored in the fat, the result being positive changes in a person's health and elimination of drug cravings..
What this means for those addicted to drugs is truly the possibility of a new life free from the drug toxins they've previously put into their bodies. With the stored physical toxins no longer releasing back into their bloodstreams and causing trips and cravings the former drug addict has a far easier time overcoming the rest of the factors involved in drug addiction.
