The joint announcement came just three weeks after A-Power announced their plans to build a $1.5 billion wind farm project in West Texas in part with several U.S. companies. The announcement said the plant is expected to be able to produce 1,100 MW of wind energy turbines annually. The plant will also employ an estimated 1,000 workers and create additional jobs during construction. The plant will also source some of the wind turbine components from U.S. manufacturers.
