The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, starring Lily Collins, Robert Maillet, Kevin Durand, Lena Headey and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, opens in theaters Wednesday, August 21. The sci-fi adventure film focuses on a NYC teenager who discovers she descends from a line of Shadowhunters who protect humans from demons. She finds other like herself and goes with them to an alternate New York called Downworld.
The film has a runtime of 2 hours 20 minutes and is rated PG 13 for intense sequences of fantasy violence and action, and some suggestive content.
