Newlywed Dalia Dippolito Arrested for Hiring Hitman to Kill Husband

A Boca Raton woman was arrested in August for hiring a hitman to kill her new husband Michael Dippolito, and now authorities have released footage from a hidden camera showing the 26-year-old discussing the hit with an uncover police officer.

The video shows Dalia Dippolito in a car with the officer, who posed as a hitman. “I’m a lot tougher than what I look,” she says. “I know you came here and were like oh what a cute little girl or whatever — you know but I'm not.”

She then shows the officer pictures of her husband and tells him about Michael’s daily schedule.

“You’re extremely beautiful,” the officer says.

“Thank you but I just need to make sure everything is going to be taken care of,” Dippolito says.

She gave the officer $1,200 to buy a handgun for the killing and asked for the time of the hit so she could create an alibi.

On August 5, police informed Michael of his wife’s plan. They set up an elaborate crime scene at the Dippolito’s townhouse and called Dalia to the home.  When an officer told her that her husband was dead, Dalia began crying and shaking. She was taken to the police station for an interview.

Even after she came face-to-face with her hired hitman, Dippolito denied any involvement in the murder. She was shocked when police brought in her husband.

Despite all the footage and evidence against her, Dippolito maintains her innocence. She was arrested for solicitation to commit first-degree murder.
