Angelina Jolie completed the adoption process for Pax Thien, a three-year-old Vietnamese boy, and is now awaiting approval for a visa from U.S. officials so that she can take the child home.
Jolie was granted approval by Vietnamese officials on Thursday but Pax Thien must undergo a medical examine before being issued a U.S. visa.
Accompanying Jolie on the trip was her five-year-old adopted son Maddox who is from neighboring Cambodia. The Academy Award winning actress could be heading home as early as this weekend if all goes well.
Jolie, along with her partner Brad Pitt, have three children together. Along with Maddox, the couple has an adopted daughter, Zahara, aged two, from Ethiopia and a biological daughter, Shiloh, ten-months. Pitt’s name does not appear on the adoption papers for Pax but he would more than likely adopt the child in the near future.
