Mountainside Drug Addiction Treatment Center co-hosts healthcare luncheon
Behavioral healthcare professionals meet in NYC to learn more about drug addiction treatment and eating disorder programs
New York – November 18, 2009 - Mountainside Addiction Treatment Center co-hosted a luncheon for behavioral healthcare professionals in New York City with Timberline Knolls and The Farley Center. More than 70 healthcare professionals met at an upper west-side French restaurant to learn more about the innovative drug rehab programs and eating disorder programs and to network with other organizations and healthcare professionals.
The diverse group in attendance represented industries including education, finance, healthcare, music, and manufacturing. Some represented organizations are located on the west coast, in southern states and international areas. Many of the organizations were able to meet with individual healthcare practitioners from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut including therapists, social workers and psychiatrists and learn more about their services.
The innovative and comprehensive treatment approaches of these organizations and the dedication and unique approach of the various practitioners were the topics du jour. Mountainside’s Director of External Affairs – Sarah Verrelli, addressed the crowded room and spoke about the many program offerings at the Connecticut addiction treatment center. Some of the highlights include the addition of new treatment professionals, such as the Clinical Program Director and Director of the Family Wellness Program, and many structural improvements that compliment the treatment approach at the growing organization.
