Proctor & Gamble Recalls Vicks Nasal Spray After Bacteria Found

Finance World News Update by EQUITIES Magazine

Procter & Gamble Co has recalled approximately 120,000 bottles of Vicks Sinez nasal spray after discovering bacteria in samples during a routine testing.

The company, which said it has informed regulatory authorities in affected countries Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States, said no illnesses have been reported.

Spokesman Tom Millikin described the voluntary recalls as a precaution, saying that though it could harm people with chronic lung problems or a weakened immune system, only small amounts of the B. cepacia bacteria were found in the over-the-counter product.

P&G says consumers should not use the medication and should call P&G for a refund or replacement coupon.
