Jamar Butler hit 5-6 three-point attempts and ended his night with 17 points and Greg Oden scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in his tournament debut as the number one seeded Ohio State Buckeyes disposed of the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils 78-57 to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Blue Devils did the best they could to stay close with the Buckeyes in the first half and trailed by 10 with 4:26 left but the Buckeyes ran off 11 straight to close the half with a 38-17 lead.
Central Connecticut State could never cut to deep into the Buckeyes lead in the second half as Oden scored 15 points in the half and Butler added 8.
Ohio State hit 51 percent from the floor including a 55 percent clip from beyond the three-point arc.
