NCAA Tournament Scores: Indiana Hoosiers Send Gonzaga Home
Roderick Wilmont scored 22 points and grabbed 7 rebounds while D.J. White added 16 points and 10 boards as the number seven seeded Indiana Hoosiers sent the number ten seeded Gonzaga Bulldogs home 70-57.
Indiana was up by ten in the second half but Gonzaga battled back to cut the Hoosiers lead to 45-41 with just over 11 minutes remaining. But the Bulldogs went cold from the field and Indiana ran off eight straight to boost their lead back to 12 with 8:40 left in the game.
The Hoosiers never allowed the Bulldogs to get within striking distance after the ten minute mark. Despite shooting an unimpressive 39 percent from the field the Hoosiers did knock down 93 percent of the free-throws and hit 36 percent of their three-pointers.
Indiana will now face the UCLA Bruins in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
