Met-Pro Corp. 3Q Profit Drops

Finance World News Update by EQUITIES Magazine

Due to the weak markets, Met-Pro Corp said its third-quarter profit sank 29 percent from last year’s. Revenue one year ago was $28 million, compared to this year’s $19.8 million.

Chairman and CEO of the pollution control technology company said that the results “reflect the lagging effect” on sales and earnings from the recession, but added that Met-Pro's markets have shown some improvement.

Shares rose 3 cents to $9.37 in midday trading.
