Dr. Pepper Snapple reports first Dividend

Dr. Pepper Snapple Group Inc. announced Friday that its board has approved its first dividend in the beverage maker’s history. Additionally, the board is pushing forward with plans to reclaim as much as $200 million in the company’s outstanding common stock in the upcoming three years.

The company, the leading producer of flavored beverages in the US and Caribbean, whose brands include Snapple, Dr. Peppers, Motts and 7Up will disburse the dividend on Jan. 8, 2010.

Earlier in November, they reported a third-quarter profit rise of 42.5 percent rise. Shares of Dr. Pepper Snapple Group tacked on 50 cents to hit $27.29 in midday trading.
