NBA News: New York Knicks Won’t Pursue Allen Iverson

The New York Knicks have reportedly opted not to pursue free agent guard Allen Iverson, ending speculation that the former NBA MVP would be playing at Madison Square Garden the rest of the season.

Iverson became a free agent after being waived by the Memphis Grizzlies earlier this week and instantly there was talk that he would be suiting up in a Knicks jersey. That ended on Thursday night when New York decided it would be better for the team not to offer Iverson a contract.

Iverson played just three games for the Grizzlies this year before being waived. He was upset about his position coming off the bench and made it known he wanted another shot at starting.
