Come on… admit it. Some of our best memories during the holiday season involved fudge in some way! We love to eat it. We love to give it as gifts. So, with the holidays in mind The Balancing Act went on a search to find fudge that has a creative flair, or a unique twist. What they found was NYDC Chocolate! In order for The Balancing Act to satisfy their sweet tooth, they invited founders of NYDC Chocolate, Max and Ally Sinclair to the show. Together they’re going to give some great holiday ideas using their fudge, as well giving you the inside scoop on how such mouth-watering fudge can be-- ALL-NATURAL!
Ally explains how they came up with their innovative fudge balls, “Old-fashioned fudge can be dry, grainy and way too sweet, lacking depth of flavor & complexity. Cocopotamus is a new twist on old-fashioned fudge. Cocopotamus is just a fun name we came up with that represents the fun nature of our handmade fudge balls that are flavored and encased in chocolate!”
NYDC Chocolate talks about how by using dark chocolate that their fudge comes out very creamy, and much less sweet. Their ALL-NATURAL fudge uses some of the best ingredients in the world to create deep and delicious flavors. They even have seasonal fudge balls-- 6 of those seasonal flavors contain alcohol, like-- Yo-ho-ho has Jamaican dark rum!
NYDC Chocolate’s are great to send as gifts over the holidays, or to serve while you’re entertaining. And don’t forget, this fancy fudge is all natural—some even organic! Max says, “We use natural cane sugar – no corn syrup. We also use natural oils, and don’t use chemical preservatives – we add vitamin C because it’s a natural preservative and it doesn’t change the taste.”
NYDC Chocolate has even “Gone Green”! For packaging they use reusable gel packs, no styrofoam, and use aluminum recyclable bubble packs as liners. Good fudge—and good for the environment!
