Pepco Energy Services Awarded Contract to Provide Energy Conservation Measures by Appalachian State University

Pepco Holdings, Inc.'s (NYSE: POM) subsidiary Pepco Energy Services, have been chosen to implement an energy performance contract program for Appalachian State University (ASU). The university in located in Boone, North Carolina.

The contract calls for Pepco Energy Services to provide energy conservation measures in 15 buildings on campus. Pepco Energy Services will install over 8,000 energy efficient lighting and water saving fixtures, replace and upgrade HVAC systems, update building automation systems, install a solar thermal water heating system and add LED lighting, all as part of the performance contract.
