Italian police have arrested a father and son suspected of aiding gunmen in last November’s Mumbai attacks that left more than 170 people dead and several more injured.
According to authorities Mohammad Yaqub Janjua, 60, and Aamer Yaqub Janjua, 31, both from Pakistan, provided logistical support and cash to the terrorists. The pair now stand accused of aiding and abetting international terrorism and illegal financial activity.
The pair had been identified as suspects by India and the FBI and Italian authorities captured the men in an early morning raid in the northern city of Brescia on Saturday.
